Photos From 2010 Historical Run

Run ON! and volunteers for the 2010 Historical Run gathered in front of the Roy and Helen Hall Memorial Library before sunrise.  I found a marvelous setting on my camera that made it possible to get some of these early shots.

City employees set up barricades along the course to control traffic crossing over the course. This was the biggest bone of contention about the race.  Several residents inside the course did not know about the race and were irritated at the inconvenience.  I can’t speak to all of the barricades, but at this one, traffic was let through until runners were spotted en route and the barricades were pulled down altogether after the last runner passed.

 And then the runners came.

It took about twenty minutes for the runners to go past.  Note the line of runners going up Tucker as far as you can see.

They were headed for the finish line in front of the library.
