Artist’s Loft Open, Jazz Lounge Coming Soon, Hiring Now
How does this happen so fast??
The picture below is the storefront where Pumps used to be before it moved to the corner of Kentucky and Virginia. The Artist’s Loft, the studio for Debra Linker is open and operational. You’ll have to bring an easel for now (she’s working on that) but she started regular Life Drawing/Figure Drawing sessions on June 10. The Loft is open every Monday and Wednesday evening from 6:30 to 9:30 and every Friday morning from 9:30 to 12:30. She her website for more info. Models are provided and will alternate between draped, partially draped, costumed, and nude.
A sign has also gone up in the window of the future Grotto. It lists a website of grottolive.com, but that doesn’t appear to be active yet. The opening date is scheduled for August 11th and they are hiring now. My understanding is that the venue is live jazz but I don’t remember now where I heard that. It’s the most probable though, even if I hadn’t heard it. Connected to Sauce and Rick’s Chop House, it’s not likely to be a beat coffee house.
(Update July 1st: The Grotto may actually be a Rock-N-Roll spot, not jazz. Will put out a new post as soon as I have reliable info.)

Grotto Coming Soon
As you might have noticed in the picture, Orison Art & Framing is getting their window gussied up for the 4th. I didn’t get a close-up yet because it isn’t finished yet but I love Anne’s artwork. The artist, Anne Davidson, is a friend and neighbor and owner of Vital Signs over on Highway 5. Very talented woman.
Until next time,
Happy Shopping!

Thank you so much for the announcement. I would like to let you know that The Artist’s Loft is also a retail art gallery (open retail hours for much more than Life Drawing Sessions) and offers a wide range of art, quilt, craft, and self-improvement classes. We are a STORE as much as we are an artist’s studio! Come visit anytime and get the full scoop!
Thanks again for the announcement and the photo!

Will do! In the meantime, I realized that you had a better link available so I updated the link in the post to http://debralinker.com/. I also changed the link in the link list in the side panel to reflect the gallery name. Have a great weekend!
I am extremely impressed with your writing skills as well as with the layout on your blog.
Is this a paid theme or did you customize it yourself?
Anyway keep up the excellent quality writing, it’s rare to see a great blog like this one these days.
