A lot of us around here have at one time or another wracked our brains for a good suggestion to help the historic courthouse which now operates as McKinney Performing Arts Center. It seems like it everyone I’ve ever talked to has felt like it’s a major problem that the building has some serious restrictions on the kind of signage allowed. (My understanding is that no signage can be attached to the building but I could be wrong).
Apparently there is a possibility of getting some LED signage for the courthouse to promote all the activities inside (and there are a LOT of great activities). I know nothing more about the proposal other than that there is a Town Hall meeting scheduled April 4th at 6PM (a Wednesday) at Heard-Craig Hall and Mayor Loughmiller and Main Street Manager/MPAC Director Ty Lake will be there to speak about it as well as the upcoming Bike The Bricks. The event is hosted by McKinney Historic Neighborhood Association and is open to the public.
I’m marking my calendar and thought other people who love the square might be interested too.
Until next time,
