Good Morning Texas visits downtown McKinney May 31
Residents encouraged to attend, show spirit during live shots
McKINNEY, TEXAS (May 28, 2013) – Good Morning Texas will bring the final leg of the “On the Road” series to McKinney on Friday, May 31. A crew will be in downtown McKinney in front of the McKinney Performing Arts Center (MPAC), 111 N. Tennessee St., from 9 – 10 a.m. for intermittent live shots of the downtown. The goal is to have a large and lively crowd representing McKinney.
GMT started the May series to find out what exactly makes the five North Texas towns they visited special. McKinney is the last city the WFAA-TV morning show will visit.
“In McKinney, we are known as one of the best places to live in the entire country. We encourage residents to come to downtown McKinney and pack the lawn in front of MPAC to show the entire viewing audience our community spirit, which is what defines our city as the best place to live, work and play,” said CoCo Good, Communications and Marketing Director.
All residents and visitors are welcome to bring an enthusiastic spirit. Ideas for showing enthusiasm include signs, t-shirts, or items representing favorite McKinney schools, businesses or organizations. For more information, call 972-547-7525.
