According to “Collin County Urgents in McKinney”, a Facebook page run by volunteers, the Collin County Animal Shelter is full and dogs and cats are being housed in temporary kennels to cope with the overflow. To try to help get these guys into forever homes, the shelter is having an adoption special over the weekend. The adoption fee of $25 covers the spay/neuter, a microchip, and vaccinations.
These are just some of the pictures they have posted on their Facebook page of dogs currently in the shelter, available for adoption, and in danger of being euthanized to make room for more. There are so many more and so cute. It really is heart-breaking.
Please share. Share this post. Go look at the “CCAS – Urgent Dogs in Danger” photo album on the Collin County Urgents Facebook page and share that. They’ve got many more than the few posted here. If you can’t take in a dog right now but know someone who might, mention it to them. What could it hurt?
Collin County Animal Services is located at 4750 Community, McKinney, Texas and is open Tuesday through Friday from 9 to 6 and Saturday and Sunday from 12 to 5.
If you are interested in adopting an animal, please go to the shelter to meet them. You can email the shelter to make sure the animal is still available. If you are a rescue group please email the shelter. Please use the Animal ID number and not just the name. Email: email@example.com
Until next time,
Have a wonderful weekend!
