I’d like to start this new post by saying that yesterday we were out playing in the garden and splashing in a puddling pool, drinking cocktails and wearing sun tan cream….. and today…. the fire place has been on since this morning and my toes are freezing! What is going on? Oh well, this is Texas!
Happy Sunday everybody, I hope you are all safe and warm.
I had a lovely Saturday morning in the company of my little Lucy Francesca, she is 3 and she loves tooth fairies. She hasn’t lost any of her teeth yet, but, apparently Peppa Pig looses them often so she can meet the Fairy in her dreams.
We had a little bit of a mother and daughter time and it was lovely. The Grand Hotel in Downtown McKinney hosted the “Yesterday and Today” Fashion Show & Tea Luncheon to benefit the Historic Village at Chestnut Square.
The lovely Cindy Johnson, Executive Director at Chestnut Square walked us through an amazing collection of Vintage dresses from the late 1800’s to colorful and more modern clothes from the local boutiques on the square, Orisons, Swanky and Little Red Hen.
The models were all fantastic, very natural and smiley. The food was delicious and the service impeccable. We were lucky enough to win a great raffle prize too – pretty fresh flowers from the table decorations, which made my little Lucy very happy and proud!
I had the pleasure to share the table with lovely ladies and with my favorite blogger of all, Beth Barton who was accompanied by her lovely mother.
I hope you will enjoy some of the photos I took, don’t forget to check out the Chestnut Square website for upcoming events, tours and initiatives.
We left happy and walked back home, Lucy kept telling me how beautiful all the fairies (models) were at the party and how much she loved all the dresses!
