Only so much will reasonably fit on the sidebar, but there is so much to see. Here are more links of interest to those interested in McKinney and the square.
McKinney Historic Neighborhood Association (MHNA) – MHNA is a voluntary association open to people who live in the Historic District or just have an interest in the goings on here. You do not have to own a home in the district to join. MHNA is not a political organization. It is not a neighborhood policing organization. It is a collection of like minded people who want to know about what is going on in the neighborhood and network with neighbors.
Membership (in 2014) is $40 for the household and membership entitles you to receive the neighborhood e-mail and admission to members-only events (lectures, parties, etc). The neighborhood e-mail includes upcoming events, crime alerts, lost and found pets and more.
They have a website now, itsallgoodinthehood.net, and you can join and pay your dues securely through the site.
Photographers – The following photographers have done some amazing work on the downtown square.
YouTube Channels – The channels on YouTube can be hard to find. I’ve found all the ones for our downtown merchants that I could and some others that might be of interest and include links to them here. “My Channel” is essentially a playlist of all the personal videos I’ve found – well, not all – but a lot that were floating around and had something to do with downtown McKinney. Or sometimes just McKinney in general. I’ve also subscribed to whatever I found interesting or relevant so you can also find those channels through my subscriptions.
